What is a CDN (Content Distribution Network)

GCIS reommends CloudFlare CDN.

If you want the fastest web delivery, some help in reducing server load, protection form malicious traffic  CloudFlare can help.

cloudflare-125x125A CDN basically takes copies of your websites pages, stores or caches them on servers around the world and delivers those copies of your pages to viewers.  This helps speed up your website because the viewers request if fulfilled from a geographically closer server.

CloudFlare offers free services. To you Cloudflare you will need to update your DNS information at your registrar. If you chose to use CloudFlare please contact GCIS so we can provide you will information you will need to allow your CDN to access your site.
